Mon 19-Nov-2018 @ 14.00 - THE IMPACT OF PABLO PICASSO ON CONTEMPORARY BRITISH ART

Raymond Warburton OBE

In 1912 Picasso’s Cubist works were included in a ‘Post Impressionist’ Exhibition in London and from that moment, British Art sought to borrow from or emulate him.

This lecture looks at how some of Britain’s leading artists drew inspiration from Picasso. They include Vanessa Bell, Duncan Grant, Henry Moore, Francis Bacon, Ben Nicholson, Anthony Caro and David Hockney.
