Mother Nature's Second Husband: Lancelot Brown and the Shaping of the English Landscape

The son of a Northumberland farmer, Brown became the most influential of all landscape gardeners in Great Britain. The lecture attempts to define the principle’s of Brown’s work by looking at a range of his own landscapes, beginning with Stowe and including such places as Harewood, Croome Court, Bowood and Alnwick.
