Linda Smith lectures at Tate Britain and Tate Modern. This lecture explores British Art since 1945, from Francis Bacon’s paintings through key moments including Modernism and the Festival of Britain; the explosion of Pop Art and Conceptualism; the notorious ‘Sensation’ exhibition and the Turner Prize and the paintings of Lucian Freud.
