Anne is a lecturer at the V&A, the British Museum and the Queens Gallery. She is a specialist in European and Oriental ceramics and is passionate about Fashion and Textiles.

DREAMS OF THE ORIENT IN WESTERN DRESS, FROM THE PALACES OF PEKING TO THE GARDENS OF MUGHAL INDIA.

Explores how creative Western courturiers were inspired by the style of the Orient. From 18th century Paris and Edwardian London through to contemporary designers including Yves Saint Laurent, John Galliano and Alexander McQueen and their use of fine embroidered Chinese silks.

This lecture will be preceded by the AGM at 5.30pm
