Following on an engaging Study Day on Quilts with Anne Haworth, where participants were invited to bring items from their personal collections, this topic was continued with a day trip to York. This began with an interesting talk in the Quilting Museum where we saw some items of historic quilts from their collection. In the afternoon, in complete contrast, we visited the studios of two contemporary Textiles artists based in York, who showed us examples of their work and told us something of their individual processes.
