Pre-pandemic we enjoyed three separate visits to London by train to the V&A Museum to see special exhibitions. Some members also enjoyed the opportunity to draw from the exhibits. We were able to meet up with Anne Haworth, an accredited lecturer and guide at the V&A. She has delivered many talks and study days to our Society on a range of different topics, but with a special love of Fashion and Textiles directly related to the exhibitions. She gave us an insight into the Balenciaga exhibition in September 2017, the Dior and Mary Quant exhibitions in May 2019 and Kimono in March 2020, the later being just before Lockdown and everything sadly closed for many difficult long weeks.
