If you are interested in joining next year’s 6 day visit to Dresden (departing 14th April) - please note that Jan Phillips is now collecting booking forms and will be forwarding these together with deposits made out to Tailored Travel shortly after the June meeting.
Details of the visit, entitled the History & Art of Dresden, Meissen & Saxony Switzerland together with booking form are attached - highlights include walking tours and guided visits to a number of historic castles; the sumptuous treasures of the Royal Palace Vaults in Dresden; the delightful Pillnitz Castle and gardens on the banks of the Elbe followed by a paddle steamer cruise to view the Saxony Alps; the famous Old Masters Picture Gallery in Zwinger Palace and attached Meissen porcelain gallery as well as the Meissen museum itself where we will be given an insight into the production process and free time to explore Meissen’s historic centre.
